About the project
The first solo exhibition in Russia of Bill Viola, one of the most influential living video artists, who represented the USA at the 1995 Venice Biennale. The Pushkin Museum showed it from 2 March to 30 May 2021, with the support of VTB: video works about birth, death and transformation, with water and fire at their centre. I made the promo film for the exhibition and photographed the halls: the visitors as silhouettes against the light of the screens.
